In a recent development, the White House has firmly dismissed claims circulating through Iran’s state media about a purported draft memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. The administration labeled the document as “a complete fabrication,” discrediting the narrative presented by Tehran.

The contentious memorandum suggested that the United States had allegedly offered to withdraw its military presence from regions surrounding Iran and lift the naval blockade on Iranian ports. In return, Iran would agree to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restore maritime traffic to levels seen before any hostilities began, all within a 30-day timeframe.
Responding swiftly, the White House’s Rapid Response 47 X account countered the report, stating unequivocally, “This report from Iranian controlled media is not true and the MOU they ‘released’ is a complete fabrication.” They further emphasized the importance of discerning fact from fiction, urging the public, “Nobody should believe what Iranian state media is putting out. FACTS MATTER.”
