Met Gala rocked by revolting protest hours before fashion’s biggest night kicks off
With fashion’s most anticipated event just hours away, New York City is abuzz with controversy surrounding this year’s Met Gala. The uproar centers on the participation of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, 62, and his wife Lauren Sanchez, 56, who are significant sponsors of the prestigious event.
As tensions rise, reports have surfaced of an unusual protest at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where numerous containers filled with a yellow liquid have allegedly been placed near invaluable art pieces.
Adding to the spectacle, baskets brimming with plastic water bottles have been strategically positioned outside the museum, inviting pedestrians to use them as makeshift toilets.
A bold sign above the setup declares, “The Met Gala VIP toilet. Installed in honor of Met Gala chair Jeff Bezos. Go ahead, it’s good enough for his staff.”
This peculiar demonstration aims to shed light on Amazon’s treatment of its employees, sparking a dialogue as the city gears up for fashion’s largest night.
