In a chilling development linking two cold cases, a man connected to the 2007 disappearance of Jodi Husentruit has now been implicated in the 2006 murder of Deidre Harm, a mother from Wisconsin.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office has identified Christopher Revak as the individual responsible for the tragic death of Deidre Harm, a single mother from Wisconsin Rapids. Harm vanished without a trace on March 13, 2007, after a night out with friends, leaving her family in anguish. Her remains were eventually found by hunters in a secluded area of Seneca.

Key evidence, pieced together by diligent investigators, pointed to Revak. Sheriff Shawn Becker revealed that this evidence included testimonies from Revak’s own family, who placed him in Wisconsin Rapids at the time of Harm’s disappearance.

While Christopher Revak is no longer alive to face charges, District Attorney Jonathan Barnett confirmed that charges would have been filed against him if circumstances were different. Barnett’s comprehensive examination of the case led him to concur with the Sheriff’s findings.

In a public statement shared on Facebook, Sheriff Becker stated, “After his thorough review of the case, [Barnett] agreed with us that Chris Revak was responsible for Deidre Harm’s death.” This announcement marks a significant step forward in bringing closure to a case that has haunted the community for years.

“After his thorough review of the case, [Barnett] agreed with us that Chris Revak was responsible for Deidre Harm’s death,” the Wood County Sheriff said on Facebook.

“This may provide some closure for many, but won’t bring Deidre back. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with Deidre’s family.”

FOX 9 reports that Revak took his own life in a Missouri jail cell in 2009. He had been facing murder charges for the 2007 murder of Rene Williams.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Husentruit vanished on June 27, 1995, while she was on her way to work at  KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa. The popular TV personality is still missing more than two decades later.

Police reportedly found signs of a struggle in the parking lot of an apartment complex. They found a pair of women’s dress shoes, a bent car key, a blow-dryer, a bottle of hair spray, and earrings beside her vehicle.

Revak had been working as an EMT for Taney County, Missouri, when he was arrested. His former wife, Johanna Revak also worked for the same company.

“We’re dealing with what’s possibly a serial killer,” Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase told KY3. “During his day he’s doing his deed to society and helping people and saving people but there was a dark side to Chris Revak.”

Meanwhile, a $50,000 reward is still in effect for information on Jodi’s disappearance. Anyone with information should contact the Mason City Police or the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
