A woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint in Central Park on Saturday night, the NYPD said.
Police said the suspect approached the woman with a knife and assaulted her near East 67th Street and Fifth Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect reportedly ran from the area wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and a black backpack, according to authorities.
Police had not released additional details Saturday night.

The reported assault left residents in the surrounding neighborhood shaken.
“It’s very concerning for a very great area of New York City, and I’m uneasy with my fiancé walking her dog at night,” local resident Davis Defore told The Post.
Defore, 30, said he had been in Central Park walking his dog, Harlow, shortly before the incident.
“I was like, ‘Oh, my goodness.’ It’s literally that same path. I let Harlow out in the field right there to go play,” he said.
Valentina Mizrahi, 30, who has lived in the area since 2021, said she had never felt afraid in the neighborhood. But after speaking with a nearby hotel doorman, her mother recently cautioned her against walking alone at night, telling her “because it gets ugly.”
No arrests had been reported as of Saturday night.
