Barry William Blenkhorn was born on 30 September 1954, in Santa Monica, California USA of Canadian, English and German ancestry. He is known under his stage name of Barry Williams, and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1967, but rose to the prominence for his role of Greg Brady in the TV series “The Brady Bunch” (1969 – 1974) broadcast on the ABC channel.

Barry Williams decided very early in life that he was going to pursue an acting career, and in fact was just 13 years old when he debuted on television screens in an episode of the series “Dragnet”. Later, he appeared in episodes of the several series’ including “Bartleby, the Scrivener”, “Here Come the Brides”, “The Mid Squad”, “Mission: Impossible”, “That Girl”, “The Invaders”, “Adam-12” and others. Afterwards, he starred alongside Robert Reed, Ann B. Davis and Florence Henderson in the sitcom “The Brady Bunch” created by Sherwood Schwartz. The role of Greg Brady made him famous and recognizable, and he won the Young Artist Award, as well as being nominated for several other awards.

After the sitcom ended, Williams took guests roles in various series, and was invited to perform in musical theatre. He toured with the musicals “West Side Story”, “The Sound of Music” and “Grease”. He has also starred on Broadway, and all these appearances added to his net worth.

In 1992, Barry Williams released his autobiography entitled “Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg” which became a bestseller. The film “Growing Up Brady” (2000) directed by Richard A. Colla was based on the plot of the autobiography. The internet portal entitled “The Greg Brady Project” has been launched where people are able to participate in conversations with Barry and other celebrities. In 2010, Barry landed the leading role in the science fiction film “Mega Piranha” directed by Eric Forsberg, alongside Tiffany Logan and Paul Logan Since 2011, Barry appears on the show of theatre named after Yakov Smirnoff.

In his personal life, Barry Williams has been married twice, firstly to Diane Martin in 1990, however, the marriage ended in divorce in 1992. Eila Mary Matt was Barry Williams’ second wife, whom he married in 1999. In 2004 she gave the birth to their son, Brandon Eric Williams, but in 2005 they divorced. Williams is now in a long term relationship with Elizabeth Kennedy, and in 2012 Elizabeth gave birth to their daughter, Samantha Rose Williams.
