Shae Peppler Cornette Wikipedia – Who Is She?

The host of ESPN Radio’s GameDay, Shae Peppler Cornette, is yet to make her way on Wikipedia.

She was born on 1 August 1986 in Chicago into a family of sports enthusiasts. She grew up with dogs Ernie Banks and Wrigley. However, she never had any aspirations to be in her current work field as a child.

However, Shae’s passion for broadcast journalism grew while at Indiana University. One day, her professor advised her to consider a career in journalism after seeing her gift to speak about random things with ease during a public speaking class.

After that, she took some time to think about her teacher’s words, and then her love for sports began to grow as college basketball was like a religion at IU. During her senior year in 2008, she interviewed people around the campus about Kelvin Sampson’s forceful resignation due to NCAA violations.

At that time, The Big Ten Network couldn’t afford to send reporters to all the campuses when big news broke as it was new. So, Shae sent her interview to the network, which the network ran.

Then, she landed an internship for MTV Networks and Showtime Networks.

Shae graduated with a broadcast journalism degree and kinesiology. Her professional media career started at Big Ten Network as a football field reporter.

She has formerly worked as a primary television beat reporter for the Chicago Bears on Fox 32, a correspondent for the nationally televised morning show Morning Dos, and a host and reporter at Campus Insiders and 120 Sports.

Likewise, Shae was a longtime sideline reporter for Stadium and Facebook.

Learn About The ESPN Gameday Host Husband & Partner

Shae Peppler Cornette is happily married to her husband, Jordan Cornette.

The Huddle’s host/in-game analyst is a former Notre Dame basketball athlete (2001-2005). His career began as a production assistant at the Big Ten Network in 2007. Since then, he has had a few gigs, including ESPN 1000’s Kap&Co (co-host), The Jam (host), and CBS Sports Network (college basketball analyst).

The couple is the first to host a show on ESPN radio as a duo. In June 2019, they had their wedding. Then, two years later, they welcomed their child, Joey Jackson Cornette, on 10 April.

In addition to him, Shae is the stepmother of Jordan’s son, Carter.

She had a big brother-in-law, Joel Cornette. He was a Butler basketball player who died in 2016 due to complications from coronary atherosclerosis.
