The Judge, Timothy Walmsley was appointed in the court for this case. Let us take you through this article to learn more about the judge and the case.

Judge Walmsley was appointed to the Superior Court, Eastern Judicial Circuit, in February 2012 by Governor Nathan Deal. He is said to be a fair judge.

Ahmaud Arbery was murdered on 23 February 2020 while jogging. Three culprits were arrested, and the case was suspected to be racism. Read here to know more.

Superior Court Judge Jeffery H. Kight appointed Walmsley “to preside in the Ahmaud Arbery murder case till the final disposition of the case, with full judicial authority.

Judge Walmsley, said he would have a close eye on the case as the situation surrounding the case develop. On Tuesday, 16 November, the trial progressed to the end.

It was marked by a contentious moment between defense attorney Jason Sheffield and the justice overseeing the case. He asked the jury to step outside.

The jury appeared to shrug off him as he spoke to him and, turn back around, saying something to the effect of being ‘confused.’ He then said that was a disrespectful act.

He said, “I would suggest that you take a moment to think about that. I’m gonna step off the bench because I found that – I’ll just call it rude.”

We wish that justice will be brought to Ahmaud Arbery, or whatsoever is the truth behind his murder. The culprits have to be punished, and proper judgment has to be done.

He received his honors along with a Certificate in Environmental Law in 1996. He attended Tulane University School of Law. He was graduated in Environmental Studies in 1991.

He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He was born in 1970 which, makes him 51 years of age. His exact birthday and month are not revealed.

Gough had started the trial by asking Judge Timothy Walmsley to order sheriff’s deputies or bailiffs to identify and record the movements of anyone attending the trial.

Before getting into the career of a judge, he worked as Chatam County Magistrate. He was a Partner in the savannah law firm of Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, P.C.

He worked as an environmental consultant with a firm based in Washington, DC. He conducted extensive site work and investigation on a variety of environmental issues.

So he decided to enroll in further studies and joined law school. He was named one of The Savannah Business Report and Journal’s “40 under 40” notable Savannahians for 2004.

Despite his great work, and achievement he is not yet featured on Wikipedia. he has also been named a “Rising Star” of the Georgia Bar by Law & Politics.
