Leigh is not a new face in the journalism world. She is an award-winning Australian journalist best known for her work as a 7:30 anchor on the ABC network.

Leigh joined ABC in 1995 and has worked as an anchor and television presenter since then.

Reportedly, Leigh announced tonight that she has stepped down from her job as a 7:30 anchor later this year once the federal election is over. She will work with the broadcaster in a new role and lead the ABC’s election night TV coverage. 

Where Is Leigh Sales Going Now After Leaving 7.30 Report?

Leigh Sales declared she is leaving the 7:30 anchoring role and will remain at the ABC in the new role, reported ABC.

On February 10, 2022, Leight announced that she is stepping down as presenter of the ABC network, where she has been covering the current affairs program, 7.30, after almost 12 years of working with the team. 

It has become the talk of the town since the news broke online.

Did you realize that? Leigh was hired as a 7.30 anchor in December 2010, and her first show review came in March 2011.

She has interviewed hundreds of politicians, newsmakers, celebrities, and other notable people both at home and abroad during her tenure as 7:30 anchor, including tonight’s exclusive interview with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Australian TV.

Leigh’s Husband And Kids – Is She Married?

Leigh Sales is not married at the moment. Phill Willis is the name of her ex-husband. She has not been linked to anyone since her divorce.

They divorced in December 2016 after 20 years of marriage.

Talking about Leigh’s kids, she has two children with Phil. Both of them are grown-up kids now. 

Aside from being a journalist, Leigh started a podcast with Annabel Crabb called Chat 10 Looks 3 in November 2014.
