Dejounte Murray spent a month of his time in Juvenile Jail ten years back when he was around 15 years old. His arrest charges have not been disclosed, which seem to be minor of a kind.

The self-motivation behind the curtains of his arrest led him to the NBA, one of the biggest brawls in basketball casket. The Spurs’ former first-round draft pick has come a long way since then.

In 2020-2021, Dejounte showed hints of breaking out, and it all came to fruition in 2021-2022. On the other hand, Murray may not have yet reached his prime.

During the 2022-2023 season, he could be in line for an even greater showing for the Spurs. He is the franchise player for San Antonio. They intend to construct a competitor around him.

Murray was selected second-team All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team as a freshman at the University of Washington in 2015–16 after averaging 16.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.8 steals in 33.5 minutes while starting all 34 games.

Dejounte was declared for the NBA draft on March 23, 2016, preceding his remaining three years of NCAA eligibility.
