'Leo from Chicago': Vatican to release documentary of the Pope's life as Robert Prevost in suburbs with brothers Louis and John

CHICAGO (WLS) — Next month, America will have a closer of look at Pope Leo XIV’s life in Chicago.

The Vatican released a trailer of “Leo in Chicago” this week. It features his brothers Louis and John.

The documentary will feature the life of then-Robert Prevost in Dolton.

And the Vatican did not leave behind Pope Leo’s favorite Aurelio’s Pizza and his love for the Chicago White Sox.

The film will also talk about the pope’s journey to serve in Peru.

“Moreover, it portrays a young man who followed the path of discernment to become part of the Order of St. Augustine, undertook studies in mathematics and theology, developed genuine relationships with fellow students, and participated in initiatives aimed at protecting life,” stated the Vatican media on the official website.

“Leo from Chicago” follows the documentary “León de Perú,” released in June.

The documentary is expected to be released in October.
