Rapper YFN Lucci, wanted for murder, turns self in to cops

Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, who is wanted for murder in connection with a shootout in December that left one man dead and another injured, turned himself in to police late Wednesday, according to local reports.

The 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, surrendered hours after releasing a new music video for his song “Rolled On” on social media, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

He was booked into Fulton County Jail, and faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm, related to the shootout in southwest Atlanta on Dec. 10.

That day, 28-year-old James Adams was shot in the head and later died at a local hospital.

A short time later, Kevin Wright, 32, arrived at a nearby fire station with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He survived his injury.

Police determined the shootings were related. Two other suspects, 23-year-old Ra’von Boyd and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested in Miami, Florida, and charged for their alleged roles in the shootings.
