Meghan Markle showcases luxurious kitchen in as Ever post

Meghan Markle has given followers a glimpse inside an elegant new kitchen while promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

In a photograph posted to the company’s official Instagram account, the 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex is pictured stirring a copper pan in a sophisticated cooking space. The room features a stainless-steel cooker, oak cabinetry and carefully arranged ceramic crockery.

“The season of giving is almost here, and we have a few surprises in store,” the caption read. The post offered no clues about what those upcoming surprises might be to As Ever’s 887,000 followers.

Although the location was not confirmed, some fans speculated that the image could have been taken at Meghan and Prince Harry’s new home in the Cotswolds. The couple reportedly moved there from California in August.

Meghan posed beside two wooden shelves filled with a sizeable chopping board, candles and attractive cookware. Additional decorative touches helped create the warm, country-inspired feel of the farmhouse-style kitchen.

Two small jars of As Ever jam were visible on the shelving, alongside the brand’s Mulling Spice Kits. The seasonal products are sold for approximately £12 each and were prominently positioned in the image.

The room combines contemporary finishes with more traditional details, including a silver wall-mounted tap, white marble worktops and a pale wooden extractor hood. Together, the features give the kitchen a polished yet homely appearance.

Known for her love of cooking, Meghan smiled for the camera with her hair pulled back and wore a checked skirt styled to resemble a classic chef’s outfit. A plated tart appeared beside her, while a navy mixing bowl rested on the hob.

Meghan offers fresh glimpse inside new UK life

The stylish setting was completed with greenery, fresh fruit, a large wooden chopping board and what appeared to be a partially eaten pie, adding to the lived-in atmosphere of the room.

Since leaving California for the Cotswolds during the summer, Meghan has shared occasional glimpses of her new life in Britain with Harry and their two children.

Last month, the duchess posted a 34-second video montage featuring seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet enjoying the autumn season in the UK.

Her latest kitchen post comes after the launch of a £112 advent calendar, which features an illustration of the California property she once shared with Harry. It marks her first commercial project since reportedly relocating across the Atlantic.

For the limited-edition As Ever product, Meghan teamed up with Los Angeles-based gourmet chocolatier Compartés. The calendar contains 24 chocolates for customers to enjoy throughout December.

Described as being inspired by Meghan’s Montecito home and garden, the design includes a festive depiction of the £11 million mansion where she and Prince Harry lived for six years.

According to a press release, every element was carefully planned, including countdown numbers hand-painted in Meghan’s own handwriting with edible gold lustre.

The chocolate selection includes strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade flavours, as well as a special piece topped with what the brand calls Meghan’s own flower sprinkles.

A dark chocolate ganache truffle from Compartés is also included. Meghan’s handwritten details are said to make each daily opening feel like a more personal festive experience.

Priced at $148, or £112, the advent calendar is due to become available for pre-order in the US through the As Ever website from 5pm UK time today. Deliveries are expected to begin early next month.

Last week, Meghan launched a £112 advent calendar featuring an illustration of her California home in her first commercial venture since moving back to Britain.

Meghan teases latest As Ever Christmas collaboration

Meghan’s business described this as the ‘latest chapter in an ongoing collaboration between the two brands’, after the $12 (£9) As Ever x Compartés chocolate bars.

Ahead of the product launch, Meghan shared a video of her Compartés boss Jonathan Grahm zooming around an unidentified estate on a golf cart on her Instagram Stories.

The duchess, who was behind the wheel, could be heard saying ‘Hang on!’ as Mr Grahm added ‘Stay tuned!’ and they enjoyed a laugh together.

The clip was set to Michael Bublé’s hit Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and captioned ‘Christmas planning in June’.

Meghan also included early prints of the box’s artwork and footage of her beloved black Labrador Pula carrying an As Ever plushie toy in her mouth while the duchess lovingly stroked her head.

Ahead of launching the advent calendar, As Ever shared Meghan’s top hosting tips, which include having ‘as much prepped as possible before guests arrive’.

Meghan also advised saving one ‘simple task for the end’.

In an Instagram post labelled ‘Meghan’s Hosting Notes’, her As Ever firm suggested it should be: ‘Something you can finish in the kitchen while everyone settles in.’

It added: ‘A little preparation goes a long way toward making hosting feel effortless.’

The advice was accompanied by a picture of Meghan tying a white apron around her waist.

The duchess’ Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which offered recommendations for hosting, cooking and crafting, was panned by critics when it was launched alongside As Ever, which sells jam and flower sprinkles, in 2025.

Meghan’s friend praises ‘loving’ welcome back to UK

Meghan welcomed her close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen to the UK last month, and Ms McKee Zajfen posted that the duchess has been given a ‘loving’ reception on her return, which has been ‘beautiful to witness’.

Last week, Harry and Meghan condemned ‘extraordinarily reckless’ international paparazzi who were seen looking into the grounds of their children’s school.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s spokesman accused two photographers of an ‘unacceptable intrusion into the privacy’ of Archie and Lilibet.

The young men were wearing backpacks and using a white van when they were spotted circling the perimeter and monitoring children by private security and school staff.

Harry and Meghan, who returned to live in the UK after six years in California, are waiting to hear whether they will be given taxpayer-funded security.

They pulled Archie and Lili out of their first-choice British school in September after just two days when heavy traffic in the area meant their private security team struggled to stay in a convoy during the school run.

Mystery surrounds Harry and Meghan’s return to UK

The Sussexes stepped down as working royals in 2020 for personal and financial reasons but rumours remain rife as to why they unexpectedly relocated to the UK from California.

Speculation ranges from the couple wanting their children to develop a closer relationship with their grandfather King Charles, Meghan seeking a return to acting and the Sussexes wanting to increase their profile.

In the run-up to their return, Charles was said to be glad to be able to spend more time with the family but remained adamant they would not be working royals, and there was no half-in, half-out option.

Within two weeks of arriving, there was reported pushback from Harry and Meghan after a letter, authorised by the King, was circulated by the Lord Chamberlain to senior stakeholders in the Government and military reiterating the couple were ‘private citizens’ and setting out guidance on how they should be treated.

The duke and duchess were said to be ‘surprised’ by the formal letter and the couple, who are waiting to hear whether they will be given taxpayer-funded security, were reported to prefer the term ‘public figures’ instead.
