Kate Moss and Madonna celebrated energetically at the star-studded Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday night, leading an illustrious guest list in honor of the commencement of London Fashion Week.

Hosted by photographer Mert Alas and the upscale spirits brand Seventy One Gin, the night signified the first major event at the chic five-star hotel since the fire that partially destroyed it, resulting in its temporary closure to the public.

The iconic duo celebrated the reopening of the Firehouse, which had been closed following a catastrophic fire on Valentine’s Day, now reopened exclusively for this special occasion.

Kate, 51, epitomized effortless style in a little black dress paired with sheer tights, heels, and a fashionable black hat as she joined the VIP table.

The supermodel appeared in high spirits, chatting with 67-year-old pop icon Madonna and dancing the night away.

Meanwhile, Madonna cut a stylish figure in a blue striped shirt, dark denim jeans and a matching jacket.

Completing her look with black-framed glasses, she enjoyed the evening dancing with her longtime friend Mert, who crafted a bespoke Seventy One Gin drink for her at their VIP table earlier in the night.

The iconic pair were joined by a host of A-listers, including Jordan Barrett, Mert Alas, James Yates, Honey Dijon.

As well as Rosie Campion, Tasso Ferreira, Tish Weinstock and Charlotte Tilbury.

The Chiltern Firehouse has briefly and temporarily reopened its lobby for friends and family during London Fashion Week while the hotel and restaurant remain under reconstruction.

Speaking about the ongoing support, owner André Balazs said: ‘The outpouring of affection and longing for Chiltern Firehouse is overwhelming.

‘We’re extremely grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm of both our guests and staff.’

Model James turned heads in a sharp beige suit, striking a pose for the camera with his drink.

Guest Rosie brought the party vibes as she hit the dance floor, taking shots from the bottle.

While Vogue beauty editor Tish Weinstock turned up the glamour in a textured off-the-shoulder top with edgy ripped panels, posing sultrily alongside host Mert.

Make-up mogul Charlotte was also in attendance, beaming as she posed with Seventy One Gin’s Managing Director and Co-Founder, Tasso Ferreira.

It was undoubtedly a night to remember, as guests came together to celebrate the return of London’s most iconic after-hours hotspot – and the birthplace of the 71 Golden Martini.

Kate’s big night out came after she landed a new job.

The model hosted an eight-part podcast series called David Bowie: Changeling, which explores David’s artistic evolution between 1970-1975.

The show features rare and unheard archive interviews from the Under Pressure hitmaker, who died of liver cancer aged 69 back in 2016.

It also features new interviews from those who knew and were inspired by the performer, including Boy George, Chrissie Hynde, Dave Gahan, Edward Enninful, Elton John, Goldie, Iggy Pop, Harris Reed, Robbie Williams and Twiggy.

Speaking of her new project, Kate said in a statement: ‘David Bowie was a very special person. Someone who was much more than a friend – he was an enigma.

‘So, when the chance came to dive into this extraordinary five-year chapter of Bowie’s life for 6 Music and BBC Sounds, hearing from those who joined him on his creative journey and those he continues to inspire, I was excited to help share the story of such an incredible transformation.

‘This podcast is a real celebration of my friend, a true British icon.’

The podcast features an exclusive interview from 2001 with podcast creator Des Shaw, in addition to a recently unearthed audio from the BBC Archive.

While archive chats from the likes of Lady Gaga, Sinéad O’Connor, Lou Reed, and Tracey Emin were also included.

Episodes of the show explored Bowie’s early performances with The Hype, his fascination with artist Andy Warhol and the creation of The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars.

Kate and David were close friends for around a decade before his sad death.

Back in 2016, the year of his passing, Kate revealed David made fun of her because she couldn’t get into his outfits.

She admitted in an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music that the late musical icon was so slim that even she couldn’t fit into his clothes.

The fashion darling, who has done several shoots with the Ziggy Stardust icon himself and even collected a BRIT award on his behalf in his famous attire in 2014, admitted getting into his clothes was a tight squeeze.

Asked if the claims were true, Kate was quick to quip: ‘Yeah, it didn’t fit me!

‘When I saw him after that, he was like “mmm, I heard the clothes didn’t fit.” All right, rubbing it in!’ she hilariously continued.

Still, there were some things she could wear, and on one memorable occasion, the Croydon-born beauty channelled her inner David Bowie in one of his famous looks as she picked up an award for best British male at the BRITS in 2014.

He originally donned the leotard-style garment while appearing at London’s Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park on August 19, 1972.
