With the transfer window wide open, football clubs are bustling with activity as they seek to strengthen their squads. Our latest updates come courtesy of Simon Jones from Daily Mail Sport.

Archie Gray’s brother leaves Leeds on loan

In a noteworthy move, Leeds United’s promising young talent, Harry Gray, has been loaned to Rotherham United. The 17-year-old striker, who made his debut at just 16 last April, is the younger brother of Tottenham’s Archie Gray and the great-nephew of the legendary Leeds player, Eddie Gray. This temporary stint at Rotherham is expected to provide valuable experience for the budding player.

In another development at Leeds, the club is gearing up to sign Leonard Ngenge, an 18-year-old defender from Nigeria. Ngenge has already visited the club and participated in training sessions at Thorp Arch, signaling a promising addition to the team’s defensive lineup.

On a different note, Cesc Fabregas, the manager of Como, has suggested that Martin Baturina, a midfielder who has caught Leeds’ interest, is likely to remain with his current club during this transfer window.

Meanwhile, over at Liverpool, there has been no formal approach from Juventus regarding Federico Chiesa, despite ongoing speculation about the player’s future. The situation remains one to watch as the transfer window progresses.

No approach for out-of-favour Chiesa

Liverpool have still to receive an approach from Juventus for Federico Chiesa.

The Italy international winger has struggled to cement a place in Arne Slot’s side but has been gaining more minutes in recent weeks with Mo Salah also at Afcon.

Juventus are expected to make their interest formal at some stage towards the second half of the window.

Liverpool, as it stands, anticipate a quiet window.

They retain an interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi but are looking at the summer. Ibrahima Konate has still to agree terms on a new contract also but talks are ongoing.

Manchester City are primed to make an offer for Guehi this month but the England defender has not intimated he is ready to leave Palace this month, as yet.

Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Conor Bradley is already focused on his rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on his season-ending knee injury.

The Northern Ireland international, 22, was carried off in the closing stages of the 0-0 draw at Arsenal last Thursday.

He posted on Instagram: ‘A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now.

‘It won’t be for a little while but I already can’t wait to get back playing for Liverpool and Northern Ireland. Thanks for all the support.’

Villa accept Roma proposal for Malen

Aston Villa have accepted a proposal from Roma for Donyell Malen of a £2m loan fee and obligation to buy of £25m.

The Dutch international is expected in the Italian capital later today.

He wanted to play a more central attacking role and believes he will get that opportunity at Roma.

The Italians have received enquiries from Nottingham Forest for Evan Ferguson, as revealed by Daily Mail Sport, but are yet to agree whether to cut short his loan from Brighton.

Forest are juggling a number of forward targets, including Jorgen Strand Larsen at Wolves and Mehdi Taremi at Olympiacos.

Roma, meanwhile, are also discussing the future of Leon Bailey, who is on loan from Villa and are aware of Unai Emery’s interest in Tammy Abraham who is their player but on loan at Besiktas.

Villa also admire Newcastle’s Will Osula.

Chelsea striker has admirers

Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is attracting interest from a number of clubs including Celtic and Derby County.

Moyes turns to Turkey for goals

Everton have made enquiries for Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

Manager David Moyes has a long-held interest in the 28-year-old as he tried to sign him twice for West Ham.

En Nesyri is currently at AFCON where he is preparing for Morocco’s semi-final against Nigeria tonight.

Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, meanwhile, is poised to join Cardiff City once their transfer embargo is lifted.

‘You’re making a mistake, Villa!’ warns Holloway as young gun heads for Boro

Aston Villa left-back Finley Munroe is expected to undergo a medical at Middlesbrough today after they agreed a £350,000 fee plus sell-on clause.

Munroe had been on loan at Swindon where manager Ian Holloway described him as arguably the best full-back he had worked with.

Holloway told media: ‘First off, I think Aston Villa are wrong, because they’re not taking him. That’s why this has all happened. They’re not giving him a new deal.

‘I would strongly shout to everybody that I don’t think I’ve had as good a full-back potentially in my lifetime, wherever I’ve been, maybe Seamus Coleman borrowing him on loan.

‘Maybe he was potentially and I think Fin’s in the same bracket, in my opinion. So there you go.’

Wilson attracting interest from Saudi sides

West Ham striker Callum Wilson is attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia as he finalises the termination of his contract over the next few days.

Wilson will become a free agent and has interest from England also.

West Ham are expecting to have further talks with Flamengo in the coming days as the Brazilians continue to push for the signing of Lucas Paqueta. The 28-year-old reported for training today though has been struggling with his recovery from a back issue. He still wants to join Flamengo but is in contention to face Spurs on Saturday, as it stands.

Burnley’s Ekdal attracting attention from French giants

Burnley centre back Hjalmar Ekdal is a target for French side Nice.

The 27-year-old Sweden international has made 14 Premier League appearances this season and set up one of Burnley’s goals in the 5-1 thrashing of Millwall in the FA Cup last weekend.

Nice are willing to offer around £3.5million for Ekdal who spent last season on loan at Groningen in the Netherlands.

Eagles swoop for teenage star Cherif

Crystal Palace have accelerated negotiations for Angers forward Sidiki Cherif.

Angers have been asking £21.6million for the 19-year-old who has also attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Paris FC who have also asked about Tottenham’s Mathys Tel. It would be a record sale for Angers.

He has represented France at youth level and can play across the front line.
