2026 Cadillac Championship prize money, payouts for Cameron Young, field from $20 million purse

In an exciting return to South Florida, the PGA Tour introduced the Cadillac Championship, marking a fresh addition to the league’s lineup. This event brought players back to the renowned Blue Monster course for the first time since the WGC-Cadillac Championship wrapped up in 2016. Renowned for its challenging layout, the course stretches over an impressive 7,739 yards, testing the mettle of some of the world’s top golfers.

With the schedule squeezed between the Masters and the PGA Championship, several high-profile players, including Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele, and Ludvig Åberg, opted out of the event. Their absence opened doors for the rest of the 72 golfers to capitalize on the hefty $20 million prize pool offered by the Tour.

Seizing this opportunity was Cameron Young, who clinched his second victory in four outings, having previously triumphed at The Players Championship. His recent performances, including a third-place tie at the Masters, mark the pinnacle of his burgeoning career. On the final day, Young managed to fend off world No. 1, Scottie Scheffler, by preserving his substantial six-shot advantage from start to finish.

Young’s victory secured him a $3.6 million payout, while those finishing in a tie for ninth or better pocketed a minimum of $505,000. Notably, finishing in the top 36 guaranteed a six-figure sum, ensuring a lucrative reward for those who performed well over the four-day event.
