The 2026 PGA Tour regular season reaches its finish line this week in Greensboro, North Carolina, where the Wyndham Championship once again serves as the final gateway to the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
With several elite players using the week to rest before the postseason, the spotlight shifts squarely to the playoff bubble and the race to finish inside the top 70. No player enters the Wyndham Championship under a brighter microscope than Jackson Koivun, one of golf’s fastest-rising names. The 21-year-old surged to No. 70 in the FedEx Cup standings after only four PGA Tour starts, powered by his victory two weeks ago at the 3M Open. Now, Koivun is trying to lock up a playoff berth while also strengthening his case for a place on Brandt Snedeker’s Presidents Cup roster.
Plenty of proven names still have work to do. Keegan Bradley, currently 72nd, Jason Day at No. 75, Brooks Koepka at No. 86 and Tony Finau at No. 89 are among the players arriving in Greensboro on the wrong side of the cut line. As they chase a spot in next week’s playoff opener in Memphis, the Wyndham field also features a handful of headliners already drawing attention. That group is led by Cameron Young, who returns to Sedgefield Country Club as the defending champion after earning his first PGA Tour victory at this event last season.
