Antoine Griezmann has revealed the Championship club that he has been rebuilding on Football Manager.

The Atletico Madrid star is a big fan of the series, previously telling Kylian Mbappe in a viral video that he signed the Paris Saint-Germain star for his Newcastle team.

He is now working on rebuilding a former Premier League winning side as he looks to take them back to their former glory.

He also revealed that his star signing was a Liverpool player, although, he couldn’t remember their name.

After confirming that he manages Blackburn, he was asked on how he has been performing, to which he said: ‘I’m in the first division in sixth place.’

When asked if there were any complaints from the board, he added: ‘The board are very happy, they want to renew my contract.’

Finally asked who he has signed this season, he said: ‘A young right-back who was at Liverpool.

‘He’s Scottish but I can’t remember the name.’

Fans on social media have put the pieces of the puzzle together to figure out that Griezmann is talking about 20-year-old Calvin Ramsay.

Ramsay has only recently returned to action after a lengthy injury lay-off, undergoing knee surgery at Liverpool last year.

He was loaned out to Championship side Preston, where he has recently featured in their 4-0 loss to Middlesbrough, followed by a 2-0 defeat to QPR.

Griezmann though must feel that Ramsay is the man to help Blackburn achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Back in 2021, Griezmann was filmed as the France squad were mid-flight during their warm-up fixtures before Euro 2020.

A smiling Griezmann was filmed by France’s social media channels, sitting next to former Barcelona team-mate Ousmane Dembele on the flight, while explaining how he had won five trophies with the Magpies.

He also showed off his 2019 Arsenal team which included Jordan Pickford and Chris Mepham

IT’S ALL KICKING OFF!

It’s All Kicking Off is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football.

He then roped Mbappe into the conversation, by telling the PSG ace he had actually signed him on the game for the costly sum of £134million.

Mbappe, looking slightly perplexed, simply replied: ‘Newcastle, where? It’s not very warm there eh?’

Then back in 2019, he revealed he took over as manager of Arsenal – replacing every player in the team at that point except Alexandre Lacazette and signing the likes of Jordan Pickford, Matthijs De Ligt and Bournemouth’s Chris Mepham.
