Arsenal teenager Chido Obi-Martin had a day to remember as he scored a remarkable 10 goals for his side in their 14-3 win against Liverpool Under-16s on Saturday.

Obi-Martin, 15, has already played for Arsenal at Under-18, 19 and 21 level, but dropped down to the Under-16s as the former age group do not have a game this weekend.

He stole the show as he found the net 10 times in Arsenal’s dominant victory, and later posted a picture of himself with the match ball on Instagram.

Obi-Martin watched fellow Arsenal academy player Ethan Nwaneri become the youngest ever Premier League player when he was handed his debut last season in a 3-0 win against Brentford at the age of 15 years, five months and 28 days.

Ethan Nwaneri (pictured) became the Premier League’s youngest ever player last season, and Obi-Martin could break into Arsenal’s first-team soon if he keeps progressing

He cannot beat that record as he is set to turn 16 later this month, but will hope to follow in Nwaneri’s footsteps by breaking into Mikel Arteta’s squad.

If he can produce more performances like he did on Saturday, a call up to senior side may not be too far away.

Obi-Martin is eligible for Denmark and England, having represented both countries at youth level.

After playing for the Under-16s of the two nations, he has only featured for Denmark’s Under-17s.

Obi-Martin was not the only standout performer for Arsenal on Saturday, as 13-year-old Max Dowman scored twice and provided three assists.

Andre Annous also got on the scoresheet and registered four assists.
