Barcelona will wear the logo of Colombian singer Karol G on their shirts for next month’s Clasico clash with Real Madrid.

The Blaugrana’s partnership with Spotify has seen them release a handful of limited edition shirts featuring the logos of musicians, with Drake, Rosalia and The Rolling Stones all seeing their emblems used.

Next up, according to RAC 1, is Karol G, whose heart of thorns logo will be emblazed on the Barcelona shirt for the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu on April 21.

As with previous collaborations, the Karol G shirt will be available for purchase, with the prices expected to range from €400 up to €3,000.

Beyond this season, Barcelona find themselves in a legal battle with current kit suppliers Nike amid accusations of broken promises.

The club’s deal with Nike runs until 2026 but there are serious plans to terminate that agreement early. President Joan Laporta fired a warning to the company in a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo.

“There is Nike and there are Nike competitors who are also interested,” he said. “It is the market and the market is telling us that Barca is worth more than what we have in the contract with Nike.

“And then there is the third way, which is to do it ourselves. And all three are open. It is a very important decision.

“There have been twenty-seven years with Nike, we have had periodic meetings, we are having meetings, they have made an effort that I have greatly appreciated but it is not enough and we are going to decide what is best for Barca, the best option, and at this moment you I have to say that they are all on the table.

“The contract we currently have is not the best on the market and Barca is the club that sells the most shirts in the world. You must have the best contract on the market and if not, fortunately we have other options.”
