Bayern Munich and adidas have revealed the club’s annual Oktoberfest kit, and this year’s version may be the most genuine tribute to Bavarian heritage to date.
The launch commemorates the 190th edition of the modern Oktoberfest beer festival, which originated in 1810 with the royal wedding of Bavaria’s Crown Prince Ludwig (who later became King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.
Fittingly, the 2025 kit blends football heritage with Alpine craftsmanship.
Featuring a light beige foundation, the shirt is inspired by traditional Tracht attire worn at the festival, highlighted with deep green hues reminiscent of Bavarian clothing. The design is enhanced with embossed Lederhosen-inspired textures and jacquard details, showcasing the Oktoberfest theme to its fullest extent.
The finishing touches include a redesigned club crest with Bavarian-style lettering and the return of the adidas Trefoil logo, emphasizing the retro and traditional blend.
The kit is paired with black shorts and socks that have green trims, while a broader collection includes a cap, a training top, a button-down tracksuit jacket, and matching pants, all styled in grey with subtle green highlights.
Bayern will debut the kit in their home clash against Werder Bremen on September 26.
As per usual, the Oktoberfest collection is limited in availability, with this year’s highlight being a special collector’s edition box containing the complete kit (jersey, shorts, socks). Appropriately, only 1,900 boxes are available globally.
