Chelsea is aiming to secure a deal for Alejandro Garnacho at a bargain price, initially offering between £25-35million, as reported by Daily Mail Sport.
Manchester United, Garnacho’s current team, has consistently insisted that they are seeking £50m for the Argentina international. However, Chelsea might have an advantage as the 21-year-old has expressed a strong desire to join them, ignoring interest from other clubs.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are maintaining long-held interest in Barcelona’s left-sided attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez, 22.

Latest on United trio’s exit plans
United is progressing well in negotiations with Real Betis regarding a deal for Antony. Real Betis sent representatives on Monday to discuss potential loans with obligations attached.
Discussions are also moving forward with Napoli concerning Rasmus Hojlund on a loan deal, which would include an obligation to buy if he plays a certain number of matches. Both agreements could lead to considerable losses for United, highlighting the necessity to gain maximum profit from Garnacho.
In the next 48 hours, a decision about Kobbie Mainoo’s future needs to be made. The manager, Ruben Amorim, noted that the 20-year-old is competing for a starting position with captain Bruno Fernandes, prompting several enquiries.
With Fernandes being pivotal for the club, Mainoo’s prospects look uncertain, a situation that’s been anticipated since Chelsea’s interest in January. While many clubs are interested if United allows him to leave, Mainoo may prefer joining a club playing in the Champions League.

Why Brentford need a Beier
Brentford’s pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Max Beier could be good news for Newcastle United.
The Bees are working on a number of forward options, including Braga winger Roger Fernandes – who is also a target for Chelsea and Strasbourg owners BlueCo.
If Brentford can make progress on bolstering their frontline, they could then allow Yoane Wissa to join Newcastle for around £40m.
Germany international Beier was targeted by Brentford last summer but chose to join Dortmund from Hoffenheim. However, he was on the bench for their opening Bundesliga game against St Pauli last Saturday.
Dortmund are looking to add more forwards, with discussions ongoing over a £26m deal for Wolves’ Fabio Silva and, if that goes through, Brentford hope it may push Beier towards the exit.
Talented winger Fernandes was the youngest player to appear in the Europa League at 16 years and 88 days. Now 19, he was part of Portugal’s squad for the European Under-21s Championship this summer and has a release clause around £35m.

Toon return for Strand Larsen
Newcastle are expected to go back for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen after their £50m opening offer was rejected.
Wolves are offering the Norway international a new contract and say he is not for sale at any price, but Newcastle have been given encouragement that the 25-year-old wants to join them.
Daily Mail Sport first revealed that Larsen was an option for Newcastle as they strive to find a replacement for Alexander Isak, who is still expected to be the subject of a renewed bid from Liverpool of around £130m before the end of the window.
Newcastle’s need for a forward has been exacerbated with Anthony Gordon out for three games following his red card on Monday.

Wolves set to seal double deal
Wolves have been working to add a striker and are pushing to get the £17m plus signing of Christantus Uche over the line from Getafe.
The attacking midfielder was expected to be left out against Sevilla on Monday after reaching outline agreement on personal terms with Wolves, but, with finer details still to be ironed out, he played.
Wolves are finalising one new arrival at least, with Girona centre back Ladislav Krejci joining on loan for a £5.5m fee and option to make the move permanent.
Porto close in on Kiwior as Arsenal eye four youngsters
Porto are hopeful of agreeing a deal with Arsenal to sign defender Jakub Kiwior.
The proposal is for a loan with an obligation to buy for £26m including the loan fee, which could rise on performances.
Arsenal bought Kiwior from Spezia in a deal worth £20m two-and-a-half years ago. His departure will help pave the way for Arsenal to move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie. The Chile defender was targeted following extensive scouting for the centre back position.
Gunners staff have also followed Real Sociedad’s stylish 19-year-old prospect Jon Martin over recent months, who has been capped by Spain at Under-19s level. They have also checked on Girona’s Arnau Martinez, a versatile defender who has drawn offers from West Ham and Crystal Palace this summer.
For midfield they had been following Israel international Oscar Gloukh, who has just signed for Ajax from RB Salzburg, while another on their watchlist has been 19-year-old Ghanaian Caleb Yirenkyi at Nordsjaelland in Denmark.

Bissouma in talks with Gala
Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is in talks to join Galatasaray.
The offer is an initial loan with an obligation to buy. Head coach Thomas Frank dropped Bissouma from his squad for the Super Cup defeat by Paris Saint-Germain due to the player being late on more than one occasion.
The 28-year-old has been offered to clubs in England and abroad, but is open to moving to Turkey. Galatasaray’s representatives have been in England recently discussing moves for Manchester City duo Ederson and Manuel Akanji.
West Ham and Everton have also been credited with interest in Bissouma, but talks have yet to progress there.
Tottenham remain determined to land a No 10 and a winger, with the Hammers’ Lucas Paqueta and Manchester City’s Savinho, plus Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, among those under consideration. They missed out on Como’s Nico Paz, who wants to rejoin Real Madrid next summer.
Gallagher happy at Atletico
Crystal Palace have received a blow in their pursuit of Conor Gallagher, with interested parties – which included Everton earlier in the summer – being informed that the England midfielder is happy at Atletico Madrid and on a good financial package.
Should the squeeze come on PSR over the next few days, it is anticipated Atletico would want around £40m for the former Palace loanee. Atletico had also fielded enquiries from the likes of Newcastle for striker Alexander Sorloth.

Palace are continuing their charm offensive to try and convince Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino to join them. The Spain international is in no rush to leave the Yellow Submarine, but chairman Steve Parish wants the 22-year-old’s quality to replace Eberechi Eze. Villarreal want around £40m, with Palace hoping they can bring the price down.
Palace have moved on from Leicester’s El Bilal Khannouss and tried for Christos Tzolis at Bruges, but Pino would be seen as a coup, albeit an expensive one, to hand to coach Oliver Glasner, who Parish and his board are determined to keep onside, amid grumblings about his squad’s readiness for the season.
Palace have also made an approach for Manchester City defender Akanji. The Swiss international has Galatasaray and Bayer Leverkusen also interested. City have not stepped in for Palace’s Marc Guehi, whose preference remains to join Liverpool.
Palace have also asked about Toulouse centre back Jaydee Canvot, who saw a bid from Aston Villa rejected last week, and RB Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner.
Simons out, Elliott in at Leipzig?
Liverpool’s £50m-rated midfielder Harvey Elliott remains Leipzig’s ideal target if they lose Xavi Simons to Chelsea.
Leipzig continue to value Dutch international Simons at £60m. Chelsea forwards Christopher Nkunku and Tyrique George have both been mentioned in negotiations though both have other options. Chelsea remain keen on permanent sale for Nkunku, who has interest from Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and others.
Premier League clubs such as Nottingham Forest have also asked about Leipzig’s versatile Dutch defender Lutsharel Geertruida.
Meanwhile, Liverpool insist they do not wish to loan out Kostas Tsimikas, who is wanted as Roma. Liverpool only want permanent sale.

Everton’s defender options
Everton have been looking for a different profile of midfielder in the final throes of the window, but insist enquiries for West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek were made early in the window and no offer was made.
Manager David Moyes is also keen to add two versatile defenders who can cover at centre back and full back.
Everton have agreed loan terms with Sevilla for Nathan Patterson, but want to secure a replacement before the Scotland right back leaves.
Lyon’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Barcelona’s Hector Fort and Norwich’s Kellen Fisher are among names they have considered, but Moyes has ruled out City’s Nathan Ake.
Moyes has played a big role in convincing latest signing Tyler Dibling to join from Southampton, despite competition for his signature.
Dibling, who will wear the No 20 shirt, trained on Tuesday and is eligible to face Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup, subject to his registration being cleared.

Ex-Premier League trio training with Blades
Sheffield United are in talks with Danny Ings over a possible deal and are hopeful of landing the former Liverpool, Southampton and West Ham striker.
Ings, former Brentford defender Ben Mee and ex-Saints winger Nathan Redmond have all been training with the Blades in recent days. The 33-year-old Ings, who has scored 72 Premier League goals, is available on a free having left West Ham.
West Ham’s five midfield options
West Ham hope to have a breakthrough in their quest for midfielders, with Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa heading for a medical.
The Hammers have agreed to pay £14.7m plus £2.6m in add-ons for Magassa who also had interest from Forest, who West Ham have also approached about Ibrahim Sangare.

They could yet also revive interest in Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney. The 23-year-old, who turned down a £20m move to Ipswich, is also on Fulham’s list as they brace themselves for bids from Palmeiras for Andreas Pereira.
Sangare would be an initial loan that could become an obligation to buy if certain thresholds are met. West Ham also have interest in Strasbourg’s Junior Mwanga and Werder Bremen’s Romano Schmid.
Marseille are continuing talks to sign West Ham left back Emerson Palmieri.
Shock move for Leeds’ Greenwood
Leeds United forward Sam Greenwood is in talks to make a surprise move to Polish side Pogon.
The 23-year-old, who was on loan at Preston North End last season, has been offered a three-year contract. Pogon are offering Leeds around £3m for the former Sunderland and Arsenal academy striker.

Forest want Leicester defender
Leicester left back Victor Kristiansen is the subject of an approach from Forest, but the Foxes insist they will not sell on the cheap.
Leicester’s England Under-20s defender Ben Nelson is a target for West Brom also depending whether Besiktas follow up interest in Wout Faes. The Championship side are keen on Hull’s Croatian goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, while their former midfielder Nampalys Mendy is in talks to join Watford on a free transfer.
Forest, meanwhile, are also considering a new keeper, Getafe’s David Soria.
