‘LaLiga look like the biggest idiots in football right now!’: Football fans slam Spanish football’s governing body after they announce their intention to report PSG to UEFA over ‘SCANDALOUS’ Kylian Mbappe contract extension

  • Kylian Mbappe has signed a new deal at PSG to keep him at the French club
  • Real Madrid felt they were in line to sign the forward on a free transfer
  • Mbappe opted against joining the Spanish side at the last minute, though
  • LaLiga are unhappy with PSG’s conduct in convincing Mbappe to stay
  • They plan to complain to UEFA about PSG’s handling of the transfer saga
  • Football fans have slammed LaLiga on social media for their statement

Football fans on social media have hit back at LaLiga after the federation announced their intention to report PSG to UEFA over their handling of the Kylian Mbappe saga.

Mbappe looked set to join Real Madrid this summer, but he has now signed a new three-year contract with the French champions after they offered him lucrative terms to stay at the club.

The news has clearly not gone down well in Spain, with LaLiga claiming that they will file a complaint as they believe the terms of Mbappe’s new contract at PSG are ‘scandalous’ and that the deal ‘threatens the economic sustainability of European football.’ A number of supporters on social media appear to disagree, though.

Another added: ‘Stop embarrassing us @LaLiga. Your complaint ain’t gonna do nothing.’

‘Imagine Getting Rattled Over a Player Rejecting you And you File a complaint,’ a fellow fan posted.

‘Still can’t believe the whole la liga is filing a complaint over the Mbappe deal, oh nerrr that league really fell off,’ one Twitter user wrote.

Meanwhile, one supporter claimed LaLiga are lashing out as they have failed to bring in Mbappe to replace Lionel Messi, who departed Barcelona last summer.

‘Real are salty for filing that complaint and it’s so ironic that the president of la liga is upset with PSG. When he forced Messi out last year cus of wage structure. He was obviously so desperate to have another world star in their league,’ they wrote.

Mbappe’s new deal at the Parc des Princes looks set to be an unprecedented one.

It has been reported that he will receive a €150million (£126.7m) signing-on fee from PSG.

It is also understood that he could now earn £4m per month, while having a say in hiring and firing managers at the club.
