Floyd Mayweather has announced his return to boxing as he will take on John Gotti III in a rematch.

Back in June, the 46-year-old fought Gotti – the grandson of former New York crime boss John Gotti – in an exhibition fight.

The bout ended in a mass brawl when people stormed the ring following a controversial decision.

Following the brawl Gotti would go on to continue taking shots at Mayweather. He took to Instagram to post ‘Punk b***h @Floyd Mayweather. You my enemy for life.’

Gotti was also hit with a six-month suspension from the DBPR Florida Athletic Commission for starting the chaotic brawl.

Mayweather announced the fight on his Instagram, writing: ‘Kicking Off Super Bowl Weekend – Unfinished Business.

‘See You Guys In Las Vegas. More Details Coming Soon!! @mayweatherpromotions.’

Although no venue, time and date has been confirmed yet, the Super Bowl is on February 11, 2024, meaning the bout should be taking place in and around that date.

Following his retirement from boxing, the 50-0 fighter has taken part in several exhibitions including his 2017 bout with Conor McGregor.

He has fought twice this year, with his latest fight coming against Gotti.
