NRL superstar Nathan Cleary has dominated rugby league  but he may be facing some serious competition in his love life with speculation swirling that English football superstar Jude Bellingham is making a move on Matildas ace Mary Fowler.

The duo had a whirlwind romance Down Under in recent weeks with the Penrith Panthers star halfback travelling to Perth to spend time with Fowler during the Olympic qualifiers.

Fowler has since travelled to England to rejoin Manchester City in the FA Women’s Super League after signing a four-year deal in March this year.

Cleary was quick to shed his shirt during their park rendezvous as the pair were spotted holding hands and cuddling

Eagle-eyed followers then noticed that Bellingham was very quick to ‘like’ the series of photos, with one remarking that the England star hit the heart button just four minutes after Fowler had posted it.

Since then, the post has been liked by a host of Matildas teammates, Cleary himself and even a cheeky like from Broncos star Reece Walsh, who lost to Cleary and the Panthers in the NRL grand final.

Fowler’s followers have warned Cleary to be careful after spotting Bellingham liking her post just minutes after she had put it up

It remains unknown who snapped the images of Fowler in the post, which also included pictures of a sunset, a thumb with a love heart seemingly etched into it and a dog that bears more than a passing resemblance to Cleary’s own pet.

‘Jude Bellingham liked this post within 4 minutes Damn,’ one keen observer posted.

‘Babe drop him, Jude is right thurrrrr,’ added another.

Real Madrid signed Bellingham on a six-year $217million this season from Borussia Dortmund, and he has established himself as one of the best young stars in the world.

It has also reportedly meant the 20-year-old has moved on from his girlfriend.   

Bellingham has been reportedly dating Ghanaian model Asantewa Chitty, although she has apparently been keeping the relationship private and has not shared photos of the player on her social media pages.

Fowler also posted this image of her thumb with some peeling skin that had formed the shape of a heart

Cleary has since also liked the post from Fowler along with Bellingham, Matildas teammates and Brisbane Broncos star Reece Walsh 

However, the star midfielder was spotted in a series of images on celebrity dating app Raya in June, shortly after announcing his move to Real Madrid.

The ex-Birmingham City player has also been linked to US TikToker Azra Mian.

The Sun has reported that Bellingham is entirely focused on his play, though – not a new leading lady.

‘Jude is all about football, that’s his main focus. But he’s still keen to meet someone to settle down with,’ the source said.

‘He’s been in London to see pals before the season heats up again. Jude is taking his time after the break-up.’

Meanwhile, Cleary is back in Australia and preparing for another pre-season with Penrith after shedding the knee brace he was wearing during his time with Fowler in Perth.

The Panthers playmaker suffered a suspected ligament tear just nine minutes into the NRL grand final.

Cleary also previously posted a photo on social media of the dislocated finger that he suffered on the eve of the preliminary final.
