Former Watford and Burnley striker Andre Gray is heading to Saudi Arabia – even though their transfer window closed on Thursday.

Gray’s contract with Aris Salonika was cancelled by mutual consent last week allowing him to join Al-Riyadh as a free agent with the deal expected to be confirmed soon.

The 32-year-old has been a consistent goalscorer in England for several clubs including Luton, Brentford and QPR before going to play in Greece in 2022.

Across his spells at Burnley and Watford, Gray played 115 times in the Premier League and scored 23 goals, while he provided eight assists.
