Erling Haaland and Giovani Lo Celso had a furious spat at full-time after Man City’s captivating 3-3 draw with Spurs at the Etihad on Sunday.

Both teams enjoyed spells with the lead, but Dejan Kulusevksi’s 90th-minute equaliser ensured that Ange Postecoglou’s side left Manchester with a point.

During stoppage time, Haaland raged at the referee Simon Hooper after he called the play back for a foul while Jack Grealish was through on goal for a potential winner – and then at the full-time whistle, his anger turned to Tottenham’s Lo Celso.

The pair shared angry words, and needed to be separated, with a melee of players and staff coming together to keep the pair apart, although it was unclear what the altercation was relating to.

They appeared to be having their spat on the outskirts of a melee of players after the final whistle, with tensions high as two of the Premier League’s top clubs went toe-to-toe.

Tottenham’s Son Heung-min scored the opener after six minutes, but a Son own goal and a Phil Foden strike gave Man City a 2-1 advantage at half-time.

Lo Celso equalised in the 69th minute, with Jack Grealish regaining Man City’s lead ten minutes from time before Kulusevski 90th-minute equaliser.

Deep into stoppage time, Haaland was also fuming at referee Simon Hooper for blowing his whistle to call the ball back for a foul – after Jack Grealish was clear on goal when the advantage was initially played.

Haaland was front and centre in the scrum of protesting Man City players, who surrounded Hooper after the call was made.

Manchester City’s next outing is a trip to Aston Villa on Wednesday night, 24 hours before Tottenham’s next game at home to London rivals West Ham.
