The Jamaica Football Federation has announced it has now paid members of their Women’s World Cup squad in full following a payment dispute.

The Reggae Girlz announced last week they would boycott Gold Cup qualifiers amidst the dispute.

Players alleged they were ‘yet to receive full and correct payments for our historical performances at the World Cup’ and ‘numerous outstanding bonuses for qualifying in the summer of 2022.’

Jamaica were forced to call up an inexperienced squad for the qualifiers, with the nation losing 2-1 to Panama on Wednesday.

The federation has now insisted it has paid full balances owed to their players for their performances at the Women’s World Cup.

‘The JFF is pleased to advise that, as committed, we have now paid in full balances due to the Women’s World Cup Team,’ a statement read.

‘We will also start processing payments to all players who played in the qualifying rounds but were not in the final World Cup squad.

‘We are always grateful for the contribution made by all our players and are happy that we have been able to settle these outstanding amounts.

‘Our immediate focus is on supporting the Senior Reggae Girlz as they take on Guatemala on Sunday, on the heels of a brave performance last Wednesday.’

Led by Lorne Donaldson, Jamaica qualified for just their second Women’s World Cup finals by reaching the tournament this summer.

The Reggae Girlz reached knockout stages for the first time before losing 1-0 to Colombia in the last-16.

Players including Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw and Tottenham’s Drew Spence had announced their boycott on social media last week.

The players had accused the JFF of ‘constant mistreatment’ and insisted they felt it necessary to take a ‘drastic stance’.

They also accused the JFF of ‘unprofessional communication’ in their statement pertaining to the appointment of Xavier Gilbert, who took over following Donaldson’s departure last month.

Jamaica will face Guatemala in their latest Gold Cup qualifier on Sunday,
