Manchester United’s player ratings have emerged for the new EA FC 24 game, and Red Devils fans are far from pleased with the treatment of some of their players.

The well-known FIFA franchise will continue under the name EA FC from this season after a split, following the end of EA’s deal with football’s global governing body.

As with most years, the game’s official release has been preceded with the announcement of certain teams’ player ratings, which often leave a fair few fans confused at the treatment of their own club’s stars.

The highest-rated United player in the new game is perhaps unsurprisingly Casemiro, as the midfielder has arguably achieved more than any other at the club, and earns his 89 rating off the back of an impressive first season.

The Brazilian is closely followed by Bruno Fernandes on 88, with the new captain once again a star figure as Erik ten Hag’s side finished third and picked up the Carabao Cup last term.

Perhaps the biggest surprise, Rashford comes in at just 85 despite scoring 30 goals in all competitions, although his looks to be a very popular card this season with a potent mix of 90 pace, 86 shooting and 84 dribbling.

Former France international Raphael Varane and last season’s Champions League finalist Andre Onana are also rated 85, with World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez next on 84, up from last year’s 81.

England trio Luke Shaw, Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount have been awarded ratings of 83, 82 and 81 respectively, while Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka complete the 80+ contingent of revealed ratings.

Despite the club forking out some £72million for him, Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund is rated just 76, with 85 pace and only 75 shooting as he just about qualifies for a gold card.

The final revealed gold player is impressive youngster Alejandro Garnacho, rated 75 following his breakout 2022-23, which included

There were no available ratings for the likes of Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay or Antony, although separate leaks suggest the Brazil forward has suffered a heavy pace penalty, reduced from 93 last season to 83 this term.

United fans were quick to share their anger with the new ratings, with one writing: ‘This is disrespectful. United is the greatest club in football history and that must be respected.’

Another echoed the sentiment, adding: ‘So disrespectful.’

A third fan asked: ‘How is Casemiro still 89?’

One claimed: ‘Wan Bissaka, Garnacho and Hojlund are all far too low’

While a fifth blasted the treatment of homegrown Rashford, writing: ‘Rashford’s rating is criminally low after the season he just had.’
