Mahamadou Susoho, 18 (Manchester City)

Habeeb Ogunneye, 17 (Manchester United)

Capped by England at Under 17 level, Ogunneye is a speedy right back who is proficient at marauding forward and his style has been likened to Tariq Lamptey. United are light in that area of the pitch and Erik ten Hag is expected to ask the youngster up to train this season.

Max Alleyne, 18 (Manchester City)

Previously at Southampton, Alleyne has only been at the club for two years but is regularly asked to take part in senior sessions. The centre half has been capped at England Under 18s level. Comfortable in possession and a smart reader of the game.

Maxi Oyedele, 18 (Manchester United)

An old-fashioned box-to-box midfielder who spent his early years with Burnley. The Poland Under 21s international already has experience of men’s football after a loan spell at Altrincham last term, scoring four in 12 appearances.

Ethan Williams, 17 (Manchester United)

Although still only 17, Williams is up with the Under 21s this year and was given the shout to train with the first team ahead of the Champions League tie at Bayern Munich. Ex-Rochdale, Williams can play either side as a wing back but prefers starting further forward.

Tomas Galvez, 18 (Manchester City)

The left back already has a senior international cap with Finland – but can still represent Spain or England given his debut was in a friendly. Signed from Watford in 2021, his potential has been talked about around City for some time.

Emilio Lawrence, 18 (Manchester City)

Signed from Everton last year but injury restricted him to just eight appearances. Is back with a bang this season though, scoring a brace during the recent UEFA Youth League win over Red Star Belgrade from the left wing. Capable of playing off either flank.

Dan Gore, 18 (Manchester United)

Local lad who recently penned a new contract and found himself on Ten Hag’s bench for recent fixtures – including the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich. A central midfielder with class on the ball and a desire to impress, United have high hopes for Gore.

Shea Lacey, 16 (Manchester United)

An exciting wide player who penned a new contract a few weeks ago, Lacey has a similar running style to Phil Foden and earned huge plaudits during a friendly tournament for England’s Under 17s in Spain earlier in the month. Lacey bagged a brace in a 4-1 win over Spain.

Joel Ndala, 19 (Manchester City)

Netted 13 goals from wide areas as City’s Under 18s won the league last year and possesses similar dribbling characteristics to new signing Jeremy Doku. Cuts in off the left on his right foot and has pace to burn. Came through Port Vale’s academy.

Justin Oboavwoduo, 17 (Manchester City)

Despite playing up an age group last year, Oboavwoduo ended as City’s top scorer in the Under 18s Premier League on their way to the title. Still just 17, he has now moved up to the Elite Development Squad. Direct when operating from wide right and has been used more centrally in the UEFA Youth League. Has been at City since he was eight years old.

Omari Forson, 19 (Manchester United)

Forson has been talked about since he was much younger when at West Ham United and has flourished since joining United from Tottenham four years ago. With a devilish left foot and light on his feet, Forson causes plenty of problems from wide areas.
