Manchester United and Liverpool will face each other at Old Trafford in this season’s FA Cup quarter-finals after both successfully navigated their respective fifth round ties.

The draw for the sixth round was made on Wednesday evening before United kicked off against Nottingham Forest and ahead of Liverpool hosting Southampton. The former secured a narrow 1-0 victory courtesy of a late Casemiro goal, while ‘Klopp’s kids’ again delivered for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will have a home draw against Championship leaders Leicester City, having avoided a fifth round scare against Leeds United, currently second in the Championship.

Holders Manchester City have been presented with Newcastle United at home in all-Premier League tie in the next round. Coventry City, the lowest-ranked side left in the competition at this stage, will travel to top flight Wolves in the hope of keeping their cup run going.

All four ties will be played on the weekend of 16/17 March.
