Paris Saint-Germain are in Ligue 1 action on Saturday night as they travel to mid-table Nantes.

All had been well in the Parisian world heading into the weekend’s clash, as Luis Enrique’s side extended their lead at the top of the table last weekend after Monaco beat Nice in the wake of PSG’s 3-1 triumph over Lille. Then, Kylian Mbappe communicated he will leave the club this summer.

On the field, The French side struggled against a well-drilled Real Sociedad in the Champions League, but second-half goals from Mbappe and Bradley Barcola ensured they’ll have a comfortable lead heading into the return leg.

Nantes finally ended their dismal run of form away at Toulouse last weekend having failed to win any of their previous six Ligue 1 encounters. They were beaten 2-1 in the reverse fixture at the start of December.

Here’s 90min’s preview of PSG’s upcoming domestic clash.

The hosts could be unchanged from last weekend’s 2-1 win at Toulouse which brought to an end their dire run of form.

Nantes have lost Ignatius Ganago for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Remy Descamps, Kelvin Amian, Eray Comert, and Bastien Meupiyou could all return to action before the end of the month, but none of this injured quartet are likely to feature this weekend.

Nantes predicted lineup vs PSG (4-3-3): Lafont; Castelletto, Pallois, Zeze, Duverne; Coco, Sissoko, Chirivella; Traore, Mohamed, Kadewere.

Despite their midweek Champions League encounter, Enrique doesn’t need to rotate with PSG having an eight-day gap between Saturday’s game and their upcoming clash with Rennes.

The Spaniard is set to still be without Milan Skriniar, Nuno Mendes, Layvin Kurzawa, Sergio Rico, and Presnel Kimpembe on Saturday.

If Enrique does make changes to his starting XI, Lucas Hernandez, Manuel Ugarte, Goncalo Ramos, and Marco Asensio are the most likely to come into the team.

PSG predicted lineup vs Nantes (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Hernandez, Beraldo; Ugarte, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery; Asensio, Ramos, Mbappe.

Nantes played PSG close in the reverse fixture and they should be buoyed by last weekend’s victory at Toulouse.

There’s always the chance of a mini-hangover in the wake of PSG’s recent success, but it’s hard to envisage the visitors slipping up in a big way on Saturday. Superstar Mbappe is in majestic form, with Enrique’s side displaying the measured control of an impressive champion.

PSG should notch yet another victory this weekend.
