Former NFL player Matt Kalil has initiated legal proceedings against his ex-wife, Haley, following a series of derogatory remarks she made about him. The comments, which were widely shared, targeted the size of Kalil’s genitalia.
Kalil, who was once a first-round NFL draft pick, is now pursuing legal action in response to these public statements. The couple, who were married in 2015 and remained together for seven years, recently parted ways, with Haley claiming that intimacy issues contributed to their separation.
According to a report by TMZ on Tuesday night, Kalil is angered by Haley’s comments, which he claims have undermined his efforts to maintain a low profile. The lawsuit accuses her of making ‘invasive commentary’ that has drawn unwanted public attention.
Kalil has since moved on and remarried model Keilani Asmus in the summer of 2024. However, the lawsuit highlights that Keilani has been subjected to numerous offensive messages on social media related to her husband’s physique.
The legal action taken against Haley includes multiple screenshots of messages allegedly sent to Keilani. These messages, according to Kalil, have grown ‘increasingly frequent, disturbing, and alarming over time.’

Ex-NFL star Kalil is suing his Sports Illustrated model ex-wife Haley over ‘invasive’ comments
The suit filed against Haley includes a series of screenshots of messages purportedly sent to Keilani, which Kalil claims have become ‘increasingly frequent, disturbing and alarming in nature over time.’
In reference to Haley describing Kalil’s penis as ‘two coke cans, maybe even a third’, one said to Keilani: ‘Nah there’s no way she can take 2 coke cans, sorry.’
‘Does it hurt to walk?’, another asked
‘He buried something deep in someone,’ a third read.
Another person, who claimed to have ‘dated and slept with professional models’ before, also made a disgusting reference to her genitalia.
In the suit, Kalil – who was 6-foot-6 and 315lbs during his career – allegedly claims that he has been subjected to ‘unwanted attention and invasive commentary from the public,’ while his family have ‘been forced to endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements.’
In addition, the ex-NFL star alleges that Haley has ‘been able to financially benefit from this surge in traffic’, while he is left to deal with the consequences.
Kalil, now 36, is suing for invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment, requesting a jury trial and damages, with the amount exceeding $75,000.

Speaking to TMZ, though, Haley said in response to the lawsuit: ‘Litigation is a harrowing and emotionally draining experience, and I am heartbroken that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this ordeal.’
The media appearance in question came back in November, when Haley appeared on a Twitch livestream with internet personality Marlon, going on to reveal the ‘biggest factor’ in her split from Matt.
‘We were trying to do the damn thing and [put work into their marriage],’ Haley said before typing something on her phone that she did not wish to say out loud.
She then showed Marlon, before continuing to explain. It appears, from the context of the discussion, that she was suggesting Matt’s proportions were incompatible for her.
‘Deada**… for our whole marriage, deada**. But I was going to try it all. We tried it all: therapist, doctors. Not even lying… Looked up lipo-type s***… That’s why it’s kinda funny. It’s like my life is a comedy, and it kinda writes itself,’ she revealed.
‘That was the biggest factor… Love him, but he’s my homie… No, because he’s like .01 percent of the population. We’ve tried, impossible unless you’re going to be in tears type s***.’
Haley filed for divorce in 2022, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’, according to TMZ. She says that he is a ‘really good person’ and made her want to be better.
Kalil was a fourth-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft for the Minnesota Vikings. After making the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, he’d spend five years with the team before playing for the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans.
He retired following the 2019 season. Since then, he’s worked alongside his brother and fellow NFL offensive lineman, Ryan Kalil, and started a tequila company.
