Norwich confirm the loan signing of Arsenal winger Marquinhos until the end of the season… as Leandro Trossard’s arrival forces the Brazilian to look elsewhere for first-team football
Arsenal winger Marquinhos has joined Championship side Norwich on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who arrived from Sao Paulo in the summer, travelled for a medical on Monday before completing the move.
The agreement with Norwich is for a straight loan, with no option to keep the player permanently.

Arsenal have been considering sending the winger on loan since the summer.
But after impressing in pre-season, he has ended up making six appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side this season, mostly in the Europa League and domestic cups.
He scored on his full debut, away to Zurich in the Europa League.
However, the arrival this month of Leandro Trossard from Brighton has now provided Arsenal with enough depth to send him for more first-team oppportunities.
