Raheem Sterling spent the 2024–25 season on loan at Arsenal, hoping to resurrect his career after being deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

But the 30-year-old managed just one goal in 28 appearances across all competitions and failed to establish himself as a regular in Arsenal’s team.

To further complicate the situation, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has stated that Sterling will not be part of his future plans at Stamford Bridge, leaving the English player uncertain as the summer approaches.

While the future remains uncertain for the 82-cap England international, a new Sterling is already making progress in north London. Raheem’s eight-year-old son, Thiago, has officially joined Arsenal’s renowned Hale End academy, signing on with the Under-9 team and taking his first significant step in the football world.

Sterling’s partner, Paige Milian, announced the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, celebrating her son’s accomplishment with photos of Thiago holding an Arsenal jersey and signing his contract with both parents proudly present.

“Beyond proud of my firstborn son Thiago for signing with @officialarsenalacademy U9’s,” she wrote. “The growth, dedication, and hard work you’ve shown over the past year have been incredible to watch; you’ve earned this,” he added. “This is just the beginning, so keep your feet on the ground, stay humble, and keep grinding, the journey doesn’t stop here.”

For now, Sterling’s own career may be at a crossroads — but his son’s journey at Arsenal is just getting started.
