Real Madrid travel north to battle Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday, knowing another victory will take them even closer to the title.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently seven points ahead of Girona and, with only ten games to play, it would take a big collapse for Madrid not to secure the title. Osasuna aren’t an easy team to beat this season, though, sitting tenth with an outside chance of qualifying for European football if they end the campaign strongly.

Madrid are still without key player Jude Bellingham as he serves the second game of his suspension after being sent off against Valencia, while long-term absentees Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba are still out.

Here’s the Madrid lineup Ancelotti may choose on Saturday.

Brahim Diaz

GK: Andriy Lunin – There’s still no word on whether Lunin will stay at Madrid or seek a move in the summer. His stock has probably never been higher as he is finally playing regularly and impressing.

RB: Dani Carvajal – Many fans feel Carvajal needs replacing in the summer, but he is still the most consistent right-back option Madrid have and should be back in the starting XI for this match, displacing Lucas Vazquez.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – It went down as an own goal by the goalkeeper, but Rudiger’s header against Celta Vigo was incredibly violent. The Osasuna defence will want to avoid giving away any unnecessary corners.

CB: Nacho Fernandez – With Madrid linked with multiple central defenders, club captain Nacho faces an uncertain summer. However, the club owe him a lot for this season, with so many of his defensive colleagues picking up serious injuries.

LB: Ferland Mendy – Another player who could be replaced in the summer if the rumours are to be believed, Mendy would surely be a target for some very good sides. Ancelotti has called him the best defensive left-back in the world, but can they really have him as a backup to Alphonso Davies?

CM: Federico Valverde – Few players suit the ‘engine room’ phrase as well as Fede Valverde. That isn’t enough to impress a child, though, as he recently revealed: “I would love to say I’m my son’s idol but I’m not. It’s Vini. He comes to games to watch him, not me.”

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – Luka Modric played against Celta but Ancelotti certainly likes to have the younger guys in midfield when he has the chance, so Tchouameni is expected to come into the centre of the three.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga – Was full of energy and attacking intent against Celta but may have to play a more functional role against Osasuna given they are a much better side than Celta. Similarly to Valverde, Camavinga’s midfield flexibility is incredible and makes him vital to Madrid.

AM: Brahim Diaz – With Bellingham out, Diaz gets another crack as the attacking midfielder. Arda Guler netted late on against Celta but Brahim seems the favourite to start against Osasuna. The pressure is on with Guler off the mark.

ST: Rodrygo – Suffering during a dry spell and this more central role has caused him issues, managing only one goal in the past 11 La Liga matches. With Kylian Mbappe arriving in the summer, the prospect of a summer move is realistic.

ST: Vinicius Junior – Opened the scoring against Celta and was a threat throughout. Few players have to deal with as much ridiculous noise as Vinicius but he keeps putting in awesome performances.
