Kulusevski joined Spurs joined Spurs permanently in the summer for £25million, and has had an impressive start to life under his new manager after a disappointing end to last season.

The versatile winger has started in all of his side’s fixtures so far, forming part of a formidable attacking force most recently against Burnley with Son Heung-Min, James Maddison, and new signing Manor Solomon.

Completing the top three are Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes in second with 46.84km , and Arsenal’s £105m summer signing Declan Rice in third with 46.75km.

The Portuguese international replaced under-fire Harry Maguire as United captain in the summer, and is well known for his tireless workrate.

Meanwhile Rice has shown exactly why The Gunners were willing to shell out a club-record price to West Ham for the 24 year-old, with his protection in front of the defence providing the stability needed to let Martin Odegaard thrive.

Rice is also adept in driving forward and progressing the ball, with his determination and hard work resulting in him scoring the goal that put Arsenal ahead against Eric Ten Hag’s side in the 101st minute.

Midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Rodri make their way into the top 5, with 46.43km and 46.37km covered respectively, their work-rate reflecting the contrasting desires of Everton to yet again beat the drop and Manchester City to once again win the league.

Also present are two of the big money signings made in 2023, with Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai having covered 45.74km so far this season and Cheslea’s World Cup winning midfielder Enzo Fernandez 45.19km.

Szoboszlai forms part of Liverpool’s summer midfield rebuild alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo, with his sweet half-volley on the edge of the box against Aston Villa putting the shine on what has been an excellent start to his career at Anfield.

While Chelsea have been less than convincing so far this campaign, Enzo Fernandez has been a bright spark for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The £106.8m player boasts the most progressive passes and shot creating actions in the Premier League this season alongside his outstanding running stats.

Also making the top-ten for the most distance covered this season includes Philip Billing, Bruno Guimaraes and Pascal Gross.

Rice, Fernandes and Gross retain their place in the top ten from last season’s final list, while 2022-23 leader James Ward-Prowse misses out so far since his move to West Ham.

Last season the midfielder averaged 11.4km across the 38 games he played for Southampton.

Man City dominate the top ten for players who have covered the most distance in one game.

Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Phil Foden make the top five, with the latter the only player on the list to make the top ten twice.
