Sergio Ramos shown two red cards as veteran defender is sent off for the 29th time in his career… with Jesus Navas also dismissed as nine-man Sevilla beaten by Real Sociedad

Sergio Ramos was shown TWO red cards as LaLiga strugglers Sevilla lost 2-1 at Real Sociedad on Sunday.

The visitors were reduced to nine men following the dismissals of Ramos and Jesus Navas late on.

A Marko Dmitrovic own-goal and Umar Sadiq’s strike gave Sociedad a two-goal lead before Youssef En-Nesyri pulled one back on the hour mark.

Ramos, who was already on a yellow card, received a second booking for a foul on Brais Mendez.

Sevilla’s Jesus Navas was also dismissed in the 88th minute against Real Sociedad

However, following the intervention of VAR, the referee rescinded the second yellow card to show the 37-year-old a straight red card – the 29th of his career.

So Ramos was shown two red cards.

The referee then pulled out his red card again to send off Navas.
