Strasbourg fans continued to protest against Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly in their Ligue 1 clash with PSG on Friday.

A Kylian Mbappe goal and assist saw PSG pick up a 2-1 win, but it was the reaction of the home fans in the stands that grabbed the most attention.

After Chelsea’s chairman Boehly took hold of a majority stake in the French outfit, fans have continued to protest against BlueCo.

In their clash with PSG, fans could be seen holding banners reading: ‘All our fears about the BlueCo project, confirmed in this transfer window’.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the £5.5million signing of Strasbourg keeper Matz Sels

This came just days after club captain Matz Sels departed the French outfit to join Nottingham Forest for a fee of £5.5m.

Boehly, who has spent nearly £1billion at Chelsea, did not see the success of his signings materialise after the Blues finished just 12th last season, despite 17 players arriving through the door at Stamford Bridge.

Strasbourg fans could previously be seen with makeshift banners saying: ‘Boehly not welcome’ in huge red letters, as well as protests on Friday.

Supporters of the Ligue 1 club also produced a banner during Strasbourg’s 2-0 home win against Toulouse at The Stade de la Meinau back in August – reading ‘no to the timeshare’.

BlueCo, the consortium led by American Boehly, bought a majority stake in the club for a reported £65m.

Boehly has previously said a multi-club model is a strong pathway for young players to gain experience away from the big clubs, but it seems Strasbourg fans have made it clear that they don’t want to be a part of it.

Sections of Strasbourg fans already demonstrated their displeasure at Boehly’s take-over in June, and remain unhappy over six months later.
