For the upcoming 2024 season, five MLS clubs, including Inter Miami and Sporting Kansas City, have unveiled retro third kits that are a hit among fans and collectors alike.
Now, adidas’ Archive Collection is set to return for a second year following a successful debut.
Complex report the initiative will expand in 2025 with ten additional MLS teams joining the retro-themed drop.
Set to debut officially this summer, the 2025 Archive Collection will feature third shirts for the Columbus Crew, FC Dallas, Charlotte FC, Minnesota United, D.C. United, Colorado Rapids, New England Revolution, Seattle Sounders FC, Nashville SC, and San Jose Earthquakes.
Each club will also receive matching Archive Collection jackets and a custom pair of adidas Gazelle sneakers.
The Colorado Rapids have given a sneak peek of their new third jersey on Instagram, highlighting green, yellow, and blue stripes along with their classic circular logo, which was used from 2001 until it was updated in 2006. The post also displayed the date “7.16.2025,” indicating when it might be officially launched.
“A kit that’s fit for an MLS original,” the club captioned the post.
The Archive Collection’s first drop in 2024 included Inter Miami, Sporting Kansas City, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC and Portland Timbers.
With more teams than ever participating, the 2025 Archive Collection cements MLS’s growing commitment to honouring its visual history – and giving fans something truly timeless to wear.
