Man City defender Kyle Walker has revealed which of his team-mates ‘loves’ drinking, revealing the player in question opts to drink ‘straight from the bottle’.

Pep Guardiola’s men enjoyed weeks of boozy celebrations after completing their incredible treble-winning season of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the last campaign.

City players made no secret of their desire to party in the aftermath, with Jack Grealish famously going on a four-day bender as City toasted their success in Istanbul, Manchester and Ibiza.

But now Walker has named another player who enjoys a drink, as he revealed an anecdote from a trip to Abu Dhabi – claiming that he prefers to drink straight from a bottle and skips out using a mixer.

‘John [Stones] loves it [a party],’ he told Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel VibeWithFive. ‘But he doesn’t drink all season.’

‘We went to Abu Dhabi, he had a little go then. But when he goes, it’s bottles. It’s no mixers, it’s just a bottle of tequila, a bottle of jaeger and he’ll just drink that straight. Just ‘give me the bottle’ and he drinks it.’

Discussing City’s high-profile boozy celebrations last summer, Walker admitted he was partial to a tipple and spoke of how he relishes the feeling of being able to celebrate a momentous achivement like the treble together as a team.

‘I absolutely love it,’ he went on. ‘How high is the high when you’re celebrating with the lads? We stretch [nights out] to probably three days.’

Walker has been a huge hit since joining City from Spurs in 2017, playing 291 times and picking up a stunning 16 trophies during that time period. Stones, meanwhile, has established himself as a first choice centre-back under Guardiola since arriving from Everton in 2016.

It was Grealish who found himself in the limelight for his drinking last summer after admitting he found himself in a ‘world of pain’ after his heavy celebrations.

The City winger kicked off festivities after Saturday’s Champions League victory over Inter Milan by leading the chants in the dressing room before leaving the stadium with a Heineken in hand along with a speaker blaring out Fleetwood Mac.

After gulping down drinks during a big out in Istanbul, the 27-year-old emerged on the Sunday morning still wearing his City kit.

After the team headed back to Manchester, he was then jetted off to Ibiza with several other City stars including striker Erling Haaland – who’s described him as his ‘best friend in football’.

Grealish finally arrived back in the UK, with one onlooker joking that the staggering star ‘didn’t have a clue what planet he’s on’, before even more partying in the streets of Manchester just days later for their treble trophy parade.
