Tottenham forward Manor Solomon is reportedly stuck in Israel after flying home for his wedding, amid the escalating conflict with Iran.

Solomon, who spent last season on loan with Leeds United, tied the knot with his girlfriend of seven years Dana Voshina last week.

The couple shared a series of photos and videos from their wedding day on social media.

According to the Sun, Solomon and his new wife are now stranded in Israel with flights having been blocked out of the country.

Israel’s airspace remains closed to all civilian flights after two nights of bombardment by deadly Iranian missiles and drones.

Officials have admitted an evacuation from Israel is currently impossible amid the conflict.

The UK Foreign Office on Sunday issued an urgent warning against all travel to Israel following the bombardments from Iran.

The Foreign Office issued a warning to those attempting to leave the area, noting that Israeli airspace is ‘still closed’ and that the ongoing conflict with Iran ‘could disrupt road networks’.

Israel has been the subject of heightened travel advice since the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas.

The Foreign Office has advised against non-essential travel to most parts of the country for much of the intervening period.

This was upgraded to advise against all travel to parts of the country on Saturday, with the red alert extended to cover the whole country on Sunday.

Solomon and Voshina had previously been evacuated from Ukraine in 2022, when the winger played for Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Israel international then joined Fulham on a loan deal, before signing for Tottenham on a permanent basis in 2023.

Solomon spent last season on loan at Leeds and scored the goal which secured the club the Championship title.

The conflict has also seen Iranian forward Mehdi Taremi be stranded in Tehran.

He had returned to his home country to receive Iran’s Footballer of the Year accolade, planning to subsequently reunite with his teammates in the United States for the Club World Cup.

A senior Iranian authority declared on Monday that Pakistan has made a threat to launch a nuclear warhead at Israel should Benjamin Netanyahu employ nuclear weapons against Iran.

General Mohsen Rezaee, a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a member of Iran’s National Security Council, said in an interview: ‘Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb.’

Pakistan and Israel are two of the nine countries that currently possess nuclear weapons, according to experts.

Rezaee claimed that Pakistan has vowed to ‘stand behind Iran’, and called on the Islamic world to unite against Israel.

Today, Pakistan’s defence minister Khwaja Asif denied Rezaee’s claims, reportedly saying: ‘Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines; our nuclear capability is for our people’s benefit and defence against hostile designs.’

Last night, he noted that the world appears to be teetering on the edge of conflict as a result of the escalating attacks in the Middle East.

On Monday, a spokesperson for Israel’s military said that Israel has ‘achieved full aerial control above Tehran’.

Israeli media have reported that 24 people have been killed by Iranian attacks since Friday, while Iran has said 224 people have died following Israeli attacks.
