Scholes’ son was clearly livid with the performance produced by United, who have endured a concerning start to the campaign.

Although it is still early in the season, United are in tenth place in the Premier League.

Ten Hag’s team have lacked consistency and there are concerns about the direction that the club is heading in under his guidance.

United overcame Palace in midweek with a 3-0 victory in the Carabao Cup.

However, it was a different story on Saturday with Palace managing to secure all three points.

United have already suffered four defeats in their first seven league games of the campaign.

Some supporters booed the team at the final whistle but as alluded to some chose to clap them off.
