While Gareth Southgate’s side will be slumming it out on the pitch at next summer’s Euros in Germany, their loved ones plan to enjoy a glamorous holiday.

That’s because the players’ wives and girlfriends are reportedly looking at securing luxury accommodation – with one option being a castle where rooms cost up to £1,750 per sleep.

The group of luxury-seekers could consist of Kieran Trippier’s wife, Charlotte; Jordan Pickford’s wife, Megan; Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie; Harry Maguire’s wife, Fern; and Luke Shaw’s girlfriend, Anouska Santos.

Options include the £1,750-per-night Schlosshotel resort in Kronberg – the castle – and Schloss Auel Boutique Hotel in Lohmar.

Kronberg is 25 minutes from Frankfurt, one of the host cities and the place of England’s second group clash against Denmark.

Lohmar is a similar length of drive to Cologne, which will also host fixtures, including England’s third group match against Slovenia.

A source told The Sun: ‘They’re keen to let their hair down after being restricted in Qatar.’

In Qatar, they were banned from drinking and playing loud music, but can expect a more riotous time in the beer-loving Germany.

The Schlosshotel in Kronberg has an 18-hole golf course on offer, a ‘beauty cottage’, and a Porsche drive rental.

Alongside 61 rooms and suites, there are two on-site restaurants and the resort often acts as a wedding venue.

In the past, it has been used by government officials to welcome foreign state guests, showing its ilk as a blue-chip venue.

England kick off their Euro 2024 campaign on June 16 against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen before the games against Denmark and Serbia.

Gareth Southgate’s men are widely tipped for a successful tournament and qualified with an unbeaten record.
