1Password is going up in price

1Password has announced a price hike set to take effect on March 27, 2026. In a recent communication to its users, the company revealed that the annual cost of its individual plan will rise from $35.88 to $47.88. Meanwhile, the family plan will see an increase from $59.88 to $71.88.

The email from 1Password explains that despite significant enhancements in its value and capabilities, the service’s pricing has largely remained stable over several years. The company justifies the upcoming price adjustment as a means to continue its investment in innovation and maintain the high standard of security its users expect. Recent platform upgrades highlighted in the email include features such as saving logins and payment details, enhanced phishing protection, and quicker device setup.

According to 1Password, these new prices will apply during the user’s next plan renewal, provided it occurs after March 27th. The Verge has contacted 1Password to inquire whether these changes will also impact monthly subscription plans, but a response has yet to be received.
