Its smart home features are a major part of the appeal, and they’re shared only with the smaller Echo Show 15, which costs just $20 less. Both models support Zigbee, Matter, and Thread, making them capable hubs for a wide range of connected devices. The included voice remote is mainly for controlling streaming apps and media playback, since it doesn’t work with widgets or Alexa skills. For calls, the built-in 13-megapixel camera includes auto-framing, so you can stay centered on video even while moving around the room.
Amazon designed the Echo Show 21 with wall mounting in mind, but you can also place it on a counter, shelf, or kitchen island with the optional adjustable stand. Best Buy currently has that accessory for $99.99, down from $124.99.
