Amazon is adding a vertical video feed to Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video is set to enhance its streaming app by introducing a vertical video feed, similar to features already available on Netflix and Disney Plus. This new “Clips” feed will provide users with a continuous stream of short videos from various shows and movies, offering seamless options to dive into the full content, or choose to rent or purchase it.

In the past, Prime Video featured a TikTok-inspired feed showcasing NBA game highlights. However, the platform is now expanding its offerings to include quick glimpses of its available titles. Users can access these snippets by navigating to the Clips carousel on the app’s homepage. According to Prime Video, the content will be tailored to suit individual viewing histories, ensuring that each visit presents fresh and relevant material.

Moreover, the Clips feed allows viewers to effortlessly add shows and movies to their watchlist or share them with friends via text, email, or social media. To view shared clips, recipients must have the Prime Video app installed. The feature is currently being rolled out to select users in the United States on iOS, Android, and Fire tablets, with plans for wider availability slated for this summer.
