HBO Max’s annual plans are 28 percent off right now

Paying annually is usually the simplest way to cut the cost of a streaming subscription, and HBO Max is leaning into that strategy with a limited-time offer. Through July 15, 2026, new and returning subscribers can save 28 percent on any of the service’s annual plans.

That brings the ad-supported Basic tier to $78.99 per year, a savings of $31. The Standard plan drops to $132.99 annually, or $52 off, while the Premium option is available for $164.99 per year, down by $65. Depending on the plan, that works out to as much as 40 percent less than paying month to month.

Whichever tier you choose, the core attraction remains the same: access to HBO Max’s deep catalog of movies and television. The lineup includes releases from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, A24, Studio Ghibli, and Turner Classic Movies, along with HBO Max originals and recent Oscar winners and nominees such as Sinners, One Battle After Another, and Marty Supreme.
