Microsoft has been stirring up excitement with hints of a collaboration between Discord and Xbox Game Pass, and now a recent leak may have revealed what’s in store. According to details unveiled by Discord Previews, a new offering called the Xbox Game Pass “Starter Edition” is on the horizon, and it will be paired with Discord Nitro.

This Starter Edition is set to provide “access to over 50 games from the Game Pass library,” along with 10 hours each month of Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing for streaming and the opportunity to accumulate Xbox Rewards points during gameplay. While the exact lineup of games remains unspecified, leaked images have hinted that titles like Stardew Valley, Grounded, and Fallout 4 are part of the collection.

Interestingly, the Starter Edition is not restricted to Microsoft’s exclusive Xbox titles. Developer redphx, known for their work on xCloud, discovered that this new Game Pass tier will also feature numerous third-party games, expanding its appeal to a broader audience.

Back in February, it was reported that Microsoft was exploring bundling third-party services with its Game Pass subscriptions. The emergence of the Starter Edition could mark the beginning of such initiatives. Recently, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters mentioned in an interview with The Information that discussions with Microsoft had taken place concerning potential subscription bundles. This raises the possibility of Netflix introducing a Game Pass bundle of its own in the future.
