Google Photos launches an AI try-on feature for clothes you already have

Google Photos is revolutionizing the way you interact with your wardrobe by introducing an innovative AI-powered feature that promises to transform your closet into a digital playground. Imagine being able to virtually try on clothes you already own, all from the convenience of your smartphone. This new function will use the photos stored in your gallery to craft a virtual “wardrobe,” enabling you to mix and match outfits, save your favorite combinations, and even share your stylish creations with friends.

In a demonstration video released by Google, the process of organizing your apparel is vividly showcased. Your outfits, along with individual clothing items, are neatly categorized into this virtual wardrobe. The feature allows you to navigate through existing ensembles that you’ve been photographed in and offers the flexibility to design new looks. Whether it’s pairing tops with bottoms or accessorizing dresses with the perfect shoes, this tool opens up endless styling possibilities.

Adding to its user-friendly interface, a simple button located in the bottom right corner of each outfit lets you virtually try them on, making it easier to visualize your fashion choices.

While Google previously introduced an AI virtual try-on feature, it was limited to clothing items available through Search for potential purchases. This latest “wardrobe” feature in Google Photos marks a significant expansion, focusing on your personal collection. Set to debut on Android devices later this summer, the feature will also be extending its reach to iOS users shortly thereafter, promising a broader audience the chance to experience this cutting-edge fashion technology.
