If you’re eager to dive into the thrilling gameplay of Donkey Kong Banaza on the Nintendo Switch 2, it’s best to enjoy it on a television that can fully showcase the console’s 4K capabilities or support up to 120 frames per second. Fortunately, the Sony X90L meets both these criteria and is currently available at a significantly reduced price of around $898 ($301 savings) for the 65-inch model at retailers like Amazon, B&H Photo, and Best Buy, marking an all-time low.

The X90L features a full-array LED setup, offering better lighting and contrast than an edge-lit TV. This means there’s less “blooming,” or the presence of overly bright halos around illuminated objects, which can be distracting during movies or games set in darker environments. The set operates with Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR, which smartly tweaks colors and contrast to suit whatever content you’re viewing or engaging with.

When it comes to specifications, the TV provides two HDMI 2.1 ports capable of handling a 4K input at up to 120Hz, making them perfect for the latest gaming consoles. Should you connect a PS5, the TV will automatically switch to “Game” mode, activate the “Auto HDR Tone Mapping,” and engage ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) to reduce lag, which is crucial when playing fast-paced first-person shooters or platform games.

If you’re a cinephile, you’ll enjoy Sony Pictures Core, a streaming service exclusive to Bravia TVs that lets you download and stream 4K movies at near-4K Blu-ray quality. Its library is limited, but Sony includes five credits for movie downloads and a 12-month subscription to stream titles from the library.
